Who is Elexar?
I am a guy who enjoys gaming, creating and destroying, music and the (horrible for some) outside. As for the gaming part, I prefer my games hard and from a first-person perspective. Imagine games like Quake III Arena, or Return to Castle Wolfenstein even. Although my preference goes out to these, I also love to play a couple of RPG's. These RPG's being mainly The Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age and World of Warcraft now and then.
Creating sounds so broad and vague, so let me point out what exactly I like to do. For one, I like to code as a thing to pass time with. Not code as in "hi thar I jus' med a cool sumthin' in VisBasic check it out! XD", but more in the way of "I'd like to have a simple, sleek website containing useless information about myself and to host a couple of files on."
Second off, I like to map. Not draw lines on a map map, but level-design map. Mapping. Mapping in Hammer, Source's level editor. I like to take my time to lay down a (good) design, and then work it slowly. I don't rush what I wish to create, neither do I set a deadline. If it gets done, great. If it won't get done, who cares. I have my fun in building it, not necessarily finishing it.
Finally, I love things that burn. Things that explode are a very nice bonus. For example, when I cut a puppet from a piece of wood with my knife in a boring and rainy Sunday afternoon, I set it on fire shortly after it's done. This reflects back at my previous mentioning that I find my fun in the act of creating, not in the act of putting it on a shelf and showing it off to everyone. Don't mistake me as a pyromaniac, though. I could just as well throw the puppet away, but where's the fun in that.
My music taste is very broad, but with a certain filter. I like Muse, Johnny Cash, AC/DC, Metallica (preferably the first couple of albums), Slash, but also Reggie Watts and Lady Gaga.
Now you may wonder, "Why does that guy first line up a bunch of good artists, and then throws in someone I don't know and a fucking pop idol". Well, they're good artists. Reggie Watts is amazing, and Gaga knows music and doesn't just use it like most of her pop-buddies.
Note that I haven't named everything I listen to, ofcourse.
Besides burning puppets, gaming and mapping a map, I play the electric guitar. Next to that, I like things that go fast.
So, now what.
Right now you can think about how cool I am, and how much I have changed your perspective on the world. If you'd like to have a more in-depth talk, you can attempt to contact me. It should be fairly easy.
I don't believe you've told me everything up there.
That is, ofcourse, true, as you would expect. It wouldn't only be miles long, but I also think it's useless, and next to that pretty hard to tell my whole view on things through a story of my own. People asking my opinion on things goes much easier for me, but considering this isn't a live conversation that's out of the question.Recommend me a song!
I recommend you some Reggie Watts, since you probably don't know him.Shame on you.
